This set of vintage political leaders Russian Nesting Dolls features seven pieces, each one fitting perfectly inside the next. The dolls are hand-painted and crafted with exquisite attention to detail. The set includes the following world leaders: Boris Yeltsin, Mikhail Gorbachev, George H. Bush, Francois Mitterand, Margaret Thatcher, Helmut Kohl, and Saddam Hussein, all of whom were prominent in the late 80s -- my guess is that these dolls were made in 1989 based on the leaders. They are perfect for collectors and enthusiasts of vintage items. The set is a great addition to any collection and is sure to be a conversation starter. Dolls are in good condition. Some yellowing and chipping paint along edges. Please look closely at the photos for their condition. The tallest doll is 8" tall.
