Description

** If you are not buying these parts from Miekk, you are buying an infringing knock-off. ** By now, most of you know Milwaukee has released they're own bandfile 2483-20 . If you determine their dedicated tool with a 2-speed, semi-variable trigger is a benefit, buy theirs for $250. BUT, please read my findings below first. I have their tool to test against my conversion kited tool. I thought Milwaukee would prove that they did it better, but I have to admit, I do not like their tool at all. The trigger is not handy, the shape of the handle to hold onto is cumbersome, the balance is all off, they totally screwed up the FWD/REV switch, etc... I'm finding the variable speed is completely unnecessary, it's a sander, you adjust the amount of material removal by the amount of pressure. They did it as a feature to get sales over this kit. I always grab the converted tool over Milwaukee's designed sander in my shop. You can build the better tool w/ FWD & Reverse, with my parts, for $150 or less depending on where you find the cut off tool on sale, and also keep the ability to return both tools back to factory. If you already have the cut off tool or the sander, these parts are absolutely the way to go. Frankly I believe it is still the way to go anyway.. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ NOTE: An air sander and Milwaukee cutting tool will be needed for this conversion, they are not included with these parts. Please open and read the entire description, it answers a lot of questions. These are custom made aluminum parts that will convert a Milwaukee M12 cut off tool and a Harbor Freight or same belt sander into a M12 cordless 3/8" x 13" belt sander or band file. This only fits the US models 2522-XX with the 3/8 (.375) arbor . The M12 FCOT -XX has a 10mm arbor and will need a 10mm drive pulley. I can change these to 10mm if that's what you need, just note that at check out so I see it and make a special one. The air belt sanders can be found at Harbor Freight under central pneumatic, item numbers 60627 or 97055. They can be ordered from harbor freight.com or even on eBay by searching 60627 sander and checking on include descriptions. They are also sold as Rockwood pneumatic 31873. The cut off tool 2522-20 or 2522-21 can be found nearly everywhere. You will receive 4 items; a custom machined adapter to hold the sanding arm from the sander, a new drive pulley, a T-8 Torx tool bit, and instructions as shown in the 2nd photo . Either tool can be converted back to it's original state in a matter of seconds. I build these on a small garage lathe on evenings and weekends and put these kits together a few at a time, so bare with me as I'm busy as I'm sure you are as well.... Please check the sander size. There are two sizes. If you are looking for the 1/2" x 18" parts kit that uses the Baxter Pneumatic sander, go here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/274450561719 If you have any questions, please contact me: Five O Seven, Three 8 One, Forty-two Sixty. Note: For the .02% of you don't read the description and believe they are getting a Milwaukee tool and/or the air belt sander for $50, I will reiterate, the listing is for the conversion parts only! Neither the Milwaukee tool nor belt sander are included. And no Karen, I'm not changing the photo just for you.... If you flip out, physically threaten me and demand something that's clearly not included, I will not accept the return. If you find you are one of the .02% and want to return it, I will accept the return if you chose "I changed my mind". I won't accept; "item doesn't match the description" or "doesn't work" or "defective". You need only to check my feedback. Also: I retain a patent protecting my sales of parts that convert a cordless tool into a belt sander. Make your own, I don't care, if the manufacturers come with this tool, I'm clearly done, but try to sell or market the parts, you'll see a letter from the patent attorney . Fair warning. Thanks again!
