SHEAFFER SARATOGA PEN & PENCIL SET This Australian Sheaffer Saratoga fountain pen & pencil set, in burgundy with gold plated trim, dates from the late 1950s. It is in very good working condition. This pen has a medium 14ct gold Sheaffers two-tone 5 nib. The cap is in very good condition, having a good fit with the barrel. The clip and cap band are also in very good condition. The clip is secure. The feed, section and barrel are as above. The barrel carries crisp imprints. This pen is a snorkel piston filler for use with bottled ink. The filler is in good working condition. The closed length of the pen is 143mm. The pencil is also in very good working condition. A lead is fitted. The length of the pencil is 127mm. The case is in good sound condition but shows some light marking. The interior is in good condition but shows some light marking. The instruction leaflet is in very good condition. THE NIB UNIT OF MY FOUNTAIN PENS ARE CLEANED IN AN ULTRASONIC BATH, TESTED FOR WRITING AND ADJUSTED IF NECESSARY.
