20th Century Cast Stone Carved Greco Roman Statue & Corinthian Pedestal Vintage Neoclassical Statue and Pedestal Set This unique cast stone statuary will compliment many fine decor. This appears to be in the likeness a very young Calliope, the most honored of the Muses; who presided over heroic song and epic poetry, and is represented with a pencil in her hand, and a slate upon her knee . Of all the Olympic deities, none occupy a more distinguished position than the Muses, the nine beautiful daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne. ~~Perfect decorative focal point for a garden or entry~ This 2 piece set consists of a large statue that is approximately is 35 1/2 inches tall and attaches to a Corinthian Pedestal Base that stands 16 1/2 inches tall and is 15 inches wide at the top. This total height is approximately 52 inches. Statue rests upon the pedestal base for a secure fit. Please see all photographs and listing descriptions for an accurate view of this item. There is some very small breakage on the left big toe and some light crazing in the finish at the base, but no breaks in the stone statue. There is a nice, but very clean aged patina to the finish that is commensurate with it's age. I tried to capture the beauty and essence of this extraordinary piece from many different angles.
